The Army of the Setting Sun
The Army of the Setting Sun
This is the tale of an army,
Lead by a great, noble king.
His mighty men victorious,
In every battle they've seen.
Laying siege to castles,
Capturing enemy fortresses,
Overcoming tremendous odds,
Slaughtering large enemy masses.
Pursuing justice and peace,
They fought only against evil,
Setting freedom upon the land.
Proving existence of good in people.
The king had not a kingdom,
But he had his own conscience,
Which that alone was enough,
For that's what his men believed in.
The army, devoted to the king,
They were patriots to his vision,
Fighting against hordes of enemies,

The Legend of the Clash
A horde of enemy soldiers,
Advance against one...
The last of his company,
Who stands boldly alone.
Wielding sword in one hand,
A spiked mace in the other.
Waiting patient, Still,
As he is widely encircled.
He, wearing sheepskin,
His enemies clad in armor,
A sound, rustling of mail,
Proceeding to the encounter.
The battle cry, Attack!!!
A dozen soldiers at once,
Advance briskly towards him,
As he maintains his stance.
The first swing he dodges,
And decapitates the soldier,
He swiftly swings his mace,
Bludgeoning the face of another.

Tonight, while it's been a slow night at work, I've been organizing my timesheet records for the entire year. The job I'm currently on will last through new years. So the grand tally for this year will be 1500 hours Regular Time, 1554 hours Over Time, totalling 3054 hours for the year of 2011. Of the 365 days in the year, I was away from home at drilling rigs for 250.
Well, I haven't been too active over the past month and a half. A here is a rundown of what's to blame. First off, I had previously been getting sick and tired of working all the time, so I put in time for vacation. I finished the job I was working at on October 30th though my vacation was to begin November 6th. So w00t, more time off. Much of my time was spent playing video games as always. Call of Duty Black Ops, to give it a good send off before MW3 made it's debut. Then there was a little bit of Battlefield 3 to be played. After a few days of MW3 it was time for a planned trip to the Texas Renaissance Festival for Highland Fling weekend.
As I am constantly working at an oil rig, it surely cuts into my free time. I recently bought a Wacom intuos4 medium tablet and have been playing around with it using GIMP a little. Not as much as I'd like though. In my free time, I've been working on a wallpaper version of my Hylian One Winged Angel design, and it is coming along quite nicely.
